How to access the files of your Templ site
This guide describes the steps to access your site files on various devices, either by our file manager, SFTP username and password, or by SSH key pairs.
Open file manager (Easiest)
Our easiest option for file access is our file manager. With the Templ panel's file manager, you can directly in your web browser:
Upload/download files
Edit content on existing files
Rename files
Delete files and folders
This can be useful if, for example, you want to verify ownership of domain names, upload a plugin, read log files, or download a local backup.
To open the file manager, navigate to the website in the Templ panel, then click the Connect button, followed by clicking file manager. This will open a new window with the file manager.
Enable SFTP & SSH Password (Easy)
This method is for users that want to connect to their site with SFTP (or SSH) by using a username and password.

Set up file access with SSH Keys (Advanced)
If you want to add your own SSH key, see below for guides on how to do that on Windows and Mac.

Open SSH in the Templ Panel
You can connect to your site with SSH by navigating to the website in the Templ Panel, then at the top right click the Connect button, followed by clicking Open SSH. This will open a new window with the SSH session.
