The default PHP version on Templ today is PHP 8.0.
We also provide support for PHP 7.4 as well as PHP 8.1 and PHP 8.2.
Our recommendation is to always run the most modern stable version of PHP that your application supports. It is almost always faster, more secure and better maintained. It will also give your application the longest possible potential life, as opposed to choosing tech that is soon to be discontinued.
We recommend all new WordPress sites to run at least PHP 7.4 for maximum performance, stability and longevity.
Change PHP version
To change PHP version of a site, open the site in question in our panel and then click the Advanced tab where you will be able to change the PHP version.
Click Get current settings and to make sure you see the updated settings of the site, then go ahead and change to your desired PHP version and click Save.
